Welcoming our new Rev. Fr. Alex Carmel!
Father Alex arrived in United States from his home in India on June 9th, 2015. It was his first venture outside his home country. Born in a small village, in the state of Tamilnadu in Southern India, Father Alex grew up in a middle class agricultural family. One of 4 boys raised Catholic, his first schooling took place under a tree. At the age of 15, the Bishop came to his village and Alex was very curious to see him. At one point the bishop pointed at Alex and said, "Why don't you come and join the seminary"? - That was the call I received from God through a bishop. I joined the seminary at the age of 16. My parents are not educated and they really struggled to support me. To find out more about Father Alex's life, please visit us at St. Pius X Catholic Church in this small village of Cambridge, WI.
We invite you to join us in our mission to build a faithful, vibrant and welcoming Catholic community that is conformed to Jesus Christ and open to the Spirit, rooted in the power of the Eucharist and the beauty of liturgical worship, informed by a deepening knowledge and active practice of the faith, committed to reaching out in service to the needs of our world, and sustained by a lifestyle of stewardship.
